Kitchen Remodeling in Bradenton and Across Manatee and Sarasota Counties

Our showroom sits on 111th Street East in Bradenton, and most of the kitchens we build are within a short drive of it. Pick your area below to see the homes, the neighborhoods and the local details we work with every week.

Where We Work

A Local Shop, Not a Regional Franchise

Quality by Design Kitchens is based in Bradenton. That is not a marketing line about a service radius. It means the showroom you visit, the workshop where cabinetry is prepared, and the crew that shows up at your house all sit inside the same stretch of Manatee County.

The practical benefit is small and constant. A door sample can be dropped off the same afternoon. A misaligned filler strip gets corrected the next morning instead of the next visit. When a countertop template needs a second look, someone is fifteen minutes away rather than an hour and a half up I-75.

It also means we know the housing stock. A 1978 ranch off Cortez Road, a 2019 build in North River Ranch and a third-floor condo on Longboat Key are three completely different remodels, with different permitting paths, different access constraints and different reasons that a stock cabinet layout will not fit. Each area page below is written around the homes that actually exist there.

Two CountiesManatee and Sarasota, plus the barrier islands. Permitting rules change at every city line, and we pull the permits ourselves.
Custom CabinetrySized to the room you have. Odd walls, low soffits, and out-of-square corners are the normal case here, not the exception.

Six Areas

Choose Your Area

Every page covers the neighborhoods we work in, the kitchen problems that keep coming up there, and how a project runs in that specific spot.

Bradenton

Our home base. West Bradenton mid-century ranches, the River District and Village of the Arts, Bayshore Gardens, Samoset, Whitfield, Mill Creek, Manatee Oaks and Grandview at The Heights. Walled-off galley kitchens opened up, and older homes brought up to current code.

Sarasota

Across the county line, where architecture drives the brief. Sarasota School mid-century homes that need flat-panel restraint, downtown and key condos with association rules on work hours, elevator use and floor assemblies. Design-led, detail-heavy work.

Lakewood Ranch

The builder-grade problem. Country Club East, The Lake Club, Del Webb, Cresswind, Esplanade and Waterside homes with a good footprint and disappointing cabinetry. Large islands, real storage, and finishes that match the rest of the house. Our workshop is minutes away.

Parrish

Two jobs in one town. New construction in North River Ranch, Silverleaf, Forest Creek, Twin Rivers, Crosscreek and Parkwood Lakes, alongside older properties on River Road and Erie Road. The Fort Hamer bridge keeps us close to both.

Palmetto

Two markets sharing a zip code. Historic district homes with original proportions worth keeping, and waterfront condos at Riviera Dunes, Sanctuary Cove, Artisan Lakes, Terra Ceia and Snead Island where the association and the loading dock shape the schedule.

Anna Maria Island

Salt air is the design constraint. Hardware and hinges that survive it, cottage footprints that reward inches, and rental turnover that dictates when work can happen. Flood zone and substantial improvement rules are worth reviewing before you plan scope.

The Same Process Everywhere

How a Project Runs, Whichever Area You Are In

The neighborhoods change. The sequence does not. Four stages, in order, with a clear handoff at each one.

01

In-Home Measure and Conversation

We come to the house, measure the room, look at what is behind the walls where we can, and talk through how you actually cook and store things. Access, parking and association rules get noted here, because on a key condo or an island rental they change the plan.

02

Design and Fixed Quote

You see the layout in 3D before anything is ordered, then choose door styles, finishes and counters at the Bradenton showroom with the samples in your hands. The quote that follows is itemized, so you can see what a change costs before you make it.

03

Permits and Scheduling

We pull the permits with the right jurisdiction, whether that is Manatee County, Sarasota County, the City of Bradenton, Palmetto, Holmes Beach, Anna Maria or Bradenton Beach. Cabinetry is built and staged before demolition starts, which keeps the kitchen down for days rather than months.

04

Install and Punch List

Demolition, rough-in, cabinets, template, counters, backsplash, hardware and final adjustment. We walk the finished kitchen with you, write down every last item, and come back to close them out rather than leaving them for you to chase.

What We Do

Available in Every Area We Serve

Full kitchen remodels are the core of the work, but plenty of projects are narrower than that. A cabinet refresh, a countertop swap, a pantry rebuild or a single outdoor kitchen are all normal requests.

Materials That Hold Up on the Gulf Coast

Humidity here runs high for most of the year, and near the water there is salt in the air on top of it. That rules some materials in and others out.

We favor plywood box construction over particleboard, soft-close hinges and slides rated for coastal conditions, and quartz counters where a client wants a low-maintenance surface. Natural stone is still a good answer in plenty of homes, with the sealing schedule explained up front rather than discovered later.

Finish choices get the same treatment. A painted door in a rental on the island and a stained door in an inland ranch age very differently, and we would rather talk about that at the showroom than at the punch list.

Common Questions

Working With Us Across the Region

Do you charge more if I am outside Bradenton?

No. Pricing is based on the kitchen, not the drive. Every area on this page is within our normal working radius, and travel is not a separate line item. What can move a price is access: a third-floor condo with a single service elevator and restricted work hours takes longer to load in than a driveway you can back a truck up to, and that shows up in the labor estimate rather than as a travel charge.

Do you work outside these six areas?

Often, yes. These six are where the bulk of our work sits, but Ellenton, Myakka City, Longboat Key, Osprey, Nokomis and Venice come up regularly. Call the showroom with your address and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right shop for it. If a job is far enough out that we cannot service it properly after the install, we will say so.

Who pulls the permit?

We do. Kitchen remodels that touch electrical, plumbing or structure need a permit in every jurisdiction we work in, and the requirements vary between Manatee County, Sarasota County and the individual island cities. Handling it ourselves means the inspection schedule is coordinated with the install schedule instead of stalling it.

How long is a kitchen out of use?

For a typical full remodel, plan on three to six weeks on site once demolition starts, with the longest gap being the wait between countertop template and installation. Cabinetry is built and staged before we begin, which is the main reason that window stays as short as it does. Condo and island projects can run longer where association rules limit work hours or delivery access.

Can I see the cabinets before I commit?

Yes, and we would rather you did. The showroom at 6007 111th St E in Bradenton has door styles, drawer boxes, hardware and counter samples out where you can open, close and handle them. Photographs of finishes are unreliable, particularly for anything with a stain or a textured laminate.

Do you handle HOA and condo association approvals?

We prepare the documentation associations typically ask for, including scope, schedule, insurance certificates and contractor details, and we work within their approved hours and elevator rules. The application itself is normally submitted by the owner, since most associations require it, but we make sure you are not the one assembling the paperwork from scratch.

Start With a Conversation, Not a Contract

Tell us where you are and what is not working about your kitchen. We will measure, show you options at the showroom, and quote it properly.
